Brian Whitcanack is a licensed real estate broker with over 10 years of experience in real estate sales and real estate finance. Brian’s vast knowledge and understanding of the mortgage banking industry fuels his unique approach to real estate consulting which consists of providing his clients with a comprehensive financial evaluation and a detailed analysis of their real estate holdings. This valuable service allows Brian to outline precise strategies with realistic options for his clients so their real estate aspirations can be realized whether they are selling a home, buying a home, or financing a home.
Brian has lived and worked in the Malibu and Calabasas communities since he graduated from Pepperdine University in 1992. His knowledge of these communities and the surrounding areas, along with his hard work ethic, has allowed Brian to build a solid reputation and a successful business.

Certified Distressed Property Expert®
A Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) undergoes extensive training and testing in order to thoroughly understand the complexities surrounding foreclosure and the options distressed homeowners possess to avoid foreclosure. CDPEs provide solutions, specifically short sales, for distressed homeowners facing market hardships. The CDPE designation is recognized and endorsed by many of the banks conducting short sales.
Certified HAFA Specialist
A certified Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives (HAFA) Specialist undergoes extensive training and testing in order to thoroughly understand and implement the Treasury Department’s initiative for distressed homeowners. The HAFA Program was created to help standardize the short sale process for distressed homeowners. The Certified HAFA Specialist (CHS) designation is recognized and endorsed by the California Association of Realtors (CAR).
Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Specialist
A certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Specialist undergoes extensive training and testing in order to thoroughly understand foreclosure relief options available to distressed homeowners and to assist them in efficiently processing their short sale. The SFR Specialist designation is recognized and endorsed by the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
